Who we are. This website is run by Geohac Limited ("Geohac", "we"), registered in Northern Ireland, company number NI744055, registered office The Soloist Building, 1 Lanyon Place, Belfast BT1 3LP. We are the controller of the personal data described here. You can contact us about privacy at hello@geohac.co.uk.
What we collect. If you email us, we collect your name, organisation, email address, the subject of your enquiry and anything you write in your message. We don't ask for any special category data, so please don't include it.
Why we use it, and on what basis. We use your details to reply to your enquiry and, if you wish, to continue a business conversation with you. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and in developing our business. We won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing unless you ask us to.
Who sees it. Enquiries are read by Geohac's directors. Your message is stored in our email service, provided by Tutao GmbH (Tuta), whose servers are in Germany. The European Union is covered by UK adequacy regulations. We don't sell your data or share it with anyone else, unless the law requires us to.
Hosting. Our website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes visitors' IP addresses and basic technical information about each request in order to deliver the site and protect it from attack. Cloudflare may process this information outside the UK, under the safeguards in its data processing terms.
How long we keep it. We keep enquiries for up to two years after our last contact with you, unless we go on to work together, in which case we keep business records for as long as the law requires.
Cookies. This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set one strictly necessary security cookie (__cf_bm) to help block automated traffic. It expires after 30 minutes and is not used to track you. The site runs no web forms, and its fonts and images are served from this site, not from third parties.
Your rights. You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to our use of it, or to ask us to restrict it. Email hello@geohac.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), and we would be grateful for the chance to put things right first.
Changes. We will update this notice if how we use personal data changes.
